Would you like to sing with Acclaim?
New members are always welcome, and we have seen a steady stream of people wanting to be part of Acclaim. Without being discriminatory in any way whatsoever (!), we are always especially delighted to see new male members!
Acclaim sings contemporary and traditional Christian music, mostly arranged in SATB parts (soprano, alto, tenor and bass), so it helps if you can read music, but this is not essential. What is essential is an ability to sing in tune and to be able to learn and hold a part. So that choir members can practise at home between rehearsals, Elaine records the parts which are available to access and download on-line in the members’ area of the website.
Since the choir started in 2012, Acclaim has sung at two concerts each year, usually Christmas and Easter/summer. In restricting choir events to two per year, we hope that there is enough “down time” to allow choir members to come back fresh for each event.
Rehearsals, which are on Tuesdays from 7.30-9.30pm in Kinmylies Church of Scotland, Kinmylies Way , Inverness, IV3 8TP, take place over a period of roughly 12 weeks in the run up to each concert. If you have any questions please contact us via the contact form,
